As a non-profit art gallery, the Guild of Boston Artists relies on the generosity of our members, supporters, and community to continue providing our annual offerings of special exhibitions and free educational programs. Throughout the year in addition to exhibitions by our members, we host a regional exhibition and competition to highlight the work of emerging artists working in the realist tradition and a full calendar of lectures, demos, and free classes for children, all of which are supported by your generosity.
This year, our historic gallery building is in need of vital repairs and improvements which include new windows, an upgrade to our fire safety system, and repairs to the building's stairwell. We are extremely fortunate to have the support of the Massachusetts Cultural Council, who have awarded matching funds of $49,000 in the form of a Cultural Facilities Grant to help fund these projects, effectively doubling the impact of every dollar donated.
