The Guild of Boston Artists is proud to present a spotlight exhibition of fifteen paintings by Melody Phaneuf at its Newbury Street galley December 6 - January 12. This is a collection of fifteen paintings invoking light and warmth to celebrate the holiday season. Phaneuf’s expressive compositions explore a variety of subjects with luminescent light and bright colors.
“I have always had an interest in myth, cultural traditions, and folk tales. The seasonal lore rooted in our relationship to light became my centering theme. I was especially interested in trying to express some of the emotional experience connected with the darkest time of year.”
