The Guild of Boston Artists currently offers several levels of membership.
Artist membership is available to artists working in a form of contemporary realism and living in New England. Regular members are exhibited year in the gallery. Members have opportunities for one or two person exhibits, may be included in Guild promotional material and are featured on the Guild website. Membership is limited due to by-laws restrictions. However, when space is available, the membership committee scouts for potential new members, and the general membership is also encouraged to nominate artists. The work of the nominees is reviewed by the committee and presented to the Board of Managers, who reviews the candidate’s work, and the finalists are asked to bring five or six pieces to the Guild to be reviewed. The finalists are announced to the members who have the opportunity to review the work in person and vote yes or no. A candidate who receives a majority of positive votes is invited to become a member of the Guild.
